Hendricks County Senior Services can help with your questions about Social Security, all aspects of Medicare and medication assistance programs, community resources, affordable housing and other concerns and direct you to the proper agency for assistance.

Tax Preparation

Tax preparation is available in cooperation with AARP. Trained tax preparers are available to help with basic, non business tax returns. Appointments are offered at sites in Plainfield, and at Hendricks County Senior Services.

Financial, Legal, and Insurance

Financial, Legal, and Insurance information is available by appointment. We offer access to free legal services, information on insurance problems as well as assistance with filing medical insurance forms. Pre-retirement, financial and estate planning seminars are also offered.

Medicare D

Medicare D drug assistance workshops are offered at renewal time every year.

Housing and Home Healthcare Options

Options for assisted living, subsidized and affordable senior housing, long term care and rehabilitation facilities are available. Our brochure rack is filled with information on healthcare and other businesses who partner with us to provide services to seniors. You are welcome to browse the information center and take whatever information you desire. Staff is available for further questions and information.

SHIP (State Health Assistance Insurance Program)

SHIP offers official insurance assistance through Hendricks County Senior Services.

Flu Shot Clinics

Hendricks County Senior Services offers a flu shot clinic as part of its annual Prime Time Expo, held in the fall at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex. We can also provide you with a list of dates and locations for other flu shot clinics. Prime Time Expo also offers a variety of health screenings and information on pertinent topics.

Donations for the above services are encouraged.
