TAX AIDE Program
Trained Tax Counselors are available at the following sites to assist seniors with their basic tax returns or to answer questions concerning the preparation of returns. Younger persons of low-income are also welcome. Counseling is by appointment only. Contact Hendricks County Senior Services, 745-4303, to schedule an appointment for all sites. No business returns are prepared. There is no charge for any services provided by the Volunteer Tax Counselors, however donations to Hendricks County Senior Services are accepted. Appointments are being taken now. This service is provided by a joint effort of the Internal Revenue Service, AARP and Hendricks County Senior Services.
Appointments may be scheduled as follows:
Plainfield Library Mondays 2/1/–4/12 starting at 9:30 a.m. Plainfield Library Wednesdays 2/3–4/14, starting at noon. Hendricks County Senior Center in Danville Thursdays 2/4– 4/8, starting at 9:00 a.m. Brownsburg Library Fridays 2/5– 4/9, starting at 9:00 a.m. Call 745-4303 for an appointment.
