Caregiver Resources
Hendricks County Senior services offers a library of tapes, books and other materials that are helpful to caregivers.
Caregivers are invited to attend an annual Caregiver Night Out held in August. This special event is an opportunity for caregivers to get together and just enjoy an evening out.
Support Groups
Several support groups are held at the Hendricks County Senior Center on a regular basis. Our support groups are designed for individuals their family members, and friends, suffering or recovering from a specific condition. By meeting regularly, members of the group help one another face and overcome common challenges by sharing experiences and encouraging one another.
Alzheimer’s Support Group meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.
Parkinson’s Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
Vision Support Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
Stroke Support Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
Durable Equipment
Hendricks County Senior Services has a limited supply of durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and personal assistance items, that we lend to people who need them, on a donation basis.
Donations for the above services are encouraged.
